Big and tall office chair dimension diagram with overall width, seat depth, and adjustable height in inches

How to measure for your chair

Measure usable seating—not only the outer frame—then compare to the dimensions listed on each option.

Seat width. Measure the usable seating area between the arms, not simply the chair’s overall width.
Seat depth. Measure from the front edge of the seat cushion toward the back cushion.
Seat height. Measure from the floor to the top of the seat cushion.
Back height. Back height affects how much upper-body support is available from the seat up.
Overall width. Important for doorways, elevators, and room placement.
Overall depth. Important for floor-space planning and clearance behind the chair.
Doorway / delivery clearance. Compare packaged and product dimensions with doors, hallways, elevators, and stairs before ordering a very large chair.

This chair lists overall dimensions as 31.5"W × 19.7" seat D × 45.6–48.4"H (adjustable).
